Hollywood will finally show the Biopic of Lance Armstrong

Lance Armstrong is an American road racing cyclist, who have won Tour De France seven times. This champion was accused of using performance-enhancing drugs and he had a long fight for it. However, Lance has confessed about drugs in his recent interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Sony Pictures and Columbia Pictures both wanted to make a biopic on Lance Armstrong from a long time. Sony Pictures had planned this project with Jake Gyllenhaal; however, the project was vanished as Lance has given up his fight with U.S. Anti-Doping Agency's charges. Columbia Pictures had announced in 2009 that they are making a biopic based on Lance’s book “It's Not About the Bike” starring Garry Ross, but we have not heard anything about this one since 2009.

Finally we will be able to see biopic of Lance Armstrong as J. J. Abrams has taken the rights of a new book “Cycle Of Lies: The Fall Of Lance”. This book has been written by Juliet Macur and it will be published in June, 2013. This biopic will be produced by Bad Robot (J. J. Abrams’ production) along with Paramount Pictures; however, the crew is not finalized yet. The movie is expected to go on floor by the end of 2013. Hopefully, we’ll be able to see it in 2014, if all goes well.
