Special review of Bollywood’s Special 26

Special 26 was much awaited with so many expectations as it is made by none other than Neeraj Pandey. A Wednesday was a master-blaster creation of Neeraj Pandey and it’s still one of the path changing movie of Bollywood. Special 26 is based on fraud raids which were conducted in 80’s on the name of CBI and Income Tax by some thugs. The trailer had given a promising look to a movie, but when it came to screen it was not what was expected. It has a very simple and predictable story line and kind of obvious climax. Special 26 is very slow and unnecessary love story and song sequences are added in it, which stretches movie more even when it is already slow. However, it has been presented with sincerity and maturity. Akshay Kumar and Kajal Aggarwal have given very sophisticated and sincere performances. Anupam Kher is a rocking performer and he will never let you down and no words needed for Manoj Bajapyee as he is an epic personality. Jimmy Shergill and Divya Dutta have also played very well according to their part. In nutshell, Special 26 is one time watch movie.

My Rating: 2 ½ Stars
