Vidhu Vinod Chopra has confirmed that Munnabhai Chale Delhi, the 3rd
edition of Munnabhai series is in making. It will be now directed by Subhash Kapoor who has directed Phas Gaya Re Obama and Jolly LLB. Rajkumar Hirani was supposed to be directing 3rd edition
of Munnabhai; however, it will be taken care by Subhash Kapoor now due to Raju’s tight scheduele of P.K. The film was titled Munnabhai Chale America earlier, but
now it has been renamed as Munnabhai
Chale Delhi. Vidhu Vinod Chopra said
that he has discussed about this with Rajkumar Hirani and Abhijat Joshi before
roping Subhash Kapoor for this film
and everything is going on with mutual understanding in positive way. It will
be written by Abhijat Joshi and the
start cast of main leads will be same with Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi as without
them Munnabhai can’t be done. Munnabhai will march to Delhi by the end of this
year and we’ll be able to see him in 2014. Let’s hope we get struck again by
Munnabhai.
